Compared to their older models it’s easy to see why 661 named their top model the Evolution. Larger and improved mouth ventilation, larger ventilation ports below the peak, and an upgraded 3K Carbon weave.

The fit is nice and snug and is secured by a buckle so there’s no faffing about either at the top of the run or when you’re desperate to take the helmet off at the bottom. We liked how the Evo has retained it’s slim profile and that 661 decided to go with clean subtle graphics rather than anything wild and crazy.
Even after weeks of solid riding the coolmax liner did it’s job and held off the stale sweaty helmet smell. But if things do ever get bad the liner can be removed and washed
And at £199.99 the Evo is also fantastic value for money. But don’t worry if purple isn’t your colour, you can also pick it up in a very tasty lime green.
