I'm normally fond of smaller, more compact multi tools. But then I’m also pretty fond of not being stranded on the side of a mountain with a broken bike. Unless you’ve done some serious damage to your bike the XXL 42 will be able to get you home. If you’re just out on a shorter ride where you don’t need everything the chain tool, tyre levers and spoke keys slide off and can be left behind, leaving you with an aforementioned smaller, more compact multi tool. Rubber casing around the XXL makes it easy to grip, as well as stopping it from scratching any valuables in your riding pack.
Verdict
With so many features packed into one small tool we’ll forgive it for being a little on the heavy side. If riding miles away from civilization is your thing, then this is the tool for you.
