There was a point in Daniel Gibson’s life when he stopped making work that was angry. While discussions about political issues often use imagery that has a fist in the air or chainlink fences breaking, Daniel’s work is different.
Born in Yuma, AZ and growing up in El Centro, CA with parents who immigrated from Mexico, Daniel Gibson’s early years were spent wrestling with harsh realities of migration to America. His art brings to life the surreal narratives and questions that captivated him as a child.
