Dive into the details of the all-new Trance X!

Giant exhibits a fervor for two things – bicycles and occasionally perplexing naming conventions. With that notion in mind, allow me to present the Giant Trance X Advanced, the Trance X, the Trance X Advanced SX, and, naturally, the Trance X SX. While some of these monikers might evoke images of a risqué techno soirée, rest assured they are indeed bicycles. In all fairness, they appear to be well-suited for mountain bikers seeking the quintessence of a modern trail bike – mature, progressive geometry, ingenious features, and ample adjustability.

Details of the Trance X:

– Rear travel of 140mm, paired with a 150mm fork
– 29″ Wheels / 27.5″ for SX variant
– Available in Carbon or Alloy frame options
– Head tube angle of 64.8°
– Geo and reach adjustment capabilities
– Sizes: S, M, L, XL
– Weight: 13.7kg / 30.2lb (size large)
– Price range: $3,700 – $8,000 USD
– Website: giant-bicycles.com/

All iterations of the Trance X boast increased rear travel compared to their predecessors. Both the Trance X Advanced and Trance X models feature 140mm of rear travel, complemented by a 150mm fork. The newly introduced, longer-travel “SX” variants, encompassing the Trance Advanced SX and Trance X SX, boast 145mm of rear travel and a 160mm fork. This variance in travel is achieved by adjusting the stroke of the shock by 2.5mm. Notably, the longer-travel SX version is not compatible with a 29″ rear wheel, and there are options for carbon and alloy frames in both models.
