The new Dainese HGC mountain bike clothing line brings the concept of safety and freedom of movement also to the sphere of protection against atmospheric agents, through garments able to combine maximum lightness and breathability with the ideal protection against adverse conditions. The line amplifies the Made to Pedal concept for seasons when bad weather is always around the corner, potentially limiting the chances of riding – never stop riding, due to protective, comfortable garments designed to accompany riders in all weather as well as being perfect for other activities outdoors and off the bike.
The HGC line aims to become a turning point in protection for bikers on every adventure, from daily trips out to days’ worth of adventure high up in the mountains, designed to be used on bikes, whether wearing protectors or not, but also ideal for all outdoor and leisure activity. Dainese designers had in mind the goal of maximum rain and wind protection that blends comfort and performance, and developed the HGC Shells and HGC Hybrid jacket and vests, characterized by Polartec® inserts. The line is always founded on the value of maximum ridability in all weather.
HGC SHELLS, in their men’s and women’s versions, are imperceptible yet protective, as well as packable, easy to fold up and always keep with you in your backpack or pouch. When the rain starts pouring, no problem – they’re totally waterproof, owing to the water-repellent outer layer combined with an internal 10,000 mm waterproof membrane, with taped seams and a large hood that can also cover a helmet. The tear-resistant fabric, due to the elasticity ensured by the four-way stretch polyester, provides greater safety and comfort and effective internal ventilation is guaranteed by the zipper-adjustable air vents under the sleeve. Finally, the built-in drawstring and three pockets – two at the front, one at the back – mean guaranteed versatility and practicality.
SHELL LTs guarantee protection together with lightness so extreme that they’re practically imperceptible when worn (250 g in size L). They’re a second skin, a perfect marriage of protection and freedom of movement in spring and fall and the most unstable climates. Packable and waterproof up to 10,000 mm, due to the two-and-a-half-layer waterproof membrane, with taped seams, large hood and air vents under the armpits that ensure correct ventilation. The built-in drawstring and two pockets complete the garment.
The HGC HYBRID JACKET – also in a women’s version – is light and breathable. With four-way stretch fabric, it’s designed to ensure maximum freedom of movement in every situation, even post-bike and in outdoor outfits. The built-in drawstring and two front pockets guarantee comfort and versatility, in addition to the fitted hood with no visor, the elasticated cuffs and the air vents on the chest and under the armpits, which ensure correct ventilation.
The HYBRID VEST – also in a women’s version – is designed so you’re not caught unawares when the mercury drops suddenly. Here too, the Polartec inserts guarantee correct thermoregulation of the body even in the most changeable climates and the four-way stretch fabric, with wide openings on neck and shoulders, make the garment essential and imperceptible.
The HGC collection is completed with the HYBRID GLOVES, with an inner fleece layer that ensures excellent protection against the cold and the elements, without compromising grip and sensitivity on the handlebars. Abrasion resistance is guaranteed by the reinforced seams on the back and the ripstop nylon inserts. The patented Hook Button™ system also means that the gloves can be conveniently attached to pants from the Dainese HGR line to speed up stop & go. Finally, the special silicone inserts on the fingers guarantee confidence, control, and grip when braking.
The Dainese HGC collection, created for protection against the elements, so that riding never needs to be interrupted, will be available in stores and on dainese.com starting from October 2022.
