“To my knowledge, Apex is the only alternating-day, trail situation in the Front Range. Even days are for MTB, odd days are for walkers. This is on certain gated sections, that make sense from a user conflict standpoint. I haven’t ridden here in a few years now because of the bad vibe I have always gotten from other users at Apex, but I am pleased to report that the tension I previously experienced has disappeared. Good job Jefco, kudos for doing something positive for the front range MTB community. This is the second week in a row that James and I have absolutely scored hero dirt conditions. Upper Enchanted was a bit too wet to ride without leaving a track, so we did a little out and back on the bottom bit for good measure. Descending the gut from the top is amazingly fun, and with the alternating day situation, it makes things even more special now. User conflict in densely populated areas is not fun for anyone involved, but this is a step in the right direction to alleviating some of that. Having a quality trail system so close to a major city is a huge asset to the outdoorsy community that Denver is. We are fortunate to have these places to recreate. With the recent boom in outdoor interest due to the current state of affairs, I see this as a wonderful solution to let users from both sides have a bit of trail to themselves, to truly appreciate the outdoor experience they might be searching for.”
