Sam says, “The free bike challenge part 20 is here and I’ve been given a crazy Tall bike! I push this DIY bicycle to the limits down stairs, MTB trails and jumps but how long will it last?
After the last episode of the free bike challenge i asked if anyone had a bike for me and then I got a message from tony via twitter saying he has a crazy tall bike for me so of course I agreed and this video is the out come. This is by far the craziest free bike challenge yet, the tall bike really is a welcome addition to this series and it was so so fun to ride. This DIY creation is built from two mountain bikes and welded in the right places to make this two storey bike. I don’t fully know the skill level of tony’s welding but the bike looks pretty strong so I go out of my way to find out how strong the bike is. I start off simple with some speed runs followed by the mandatory stair set of doom to really test those weld points. From here I head out on the purpose built mtb trails that Colchester has to offer then we finish off with some urban MTB freeride spots and a worlds first trick!!
