Making the most of his last day in California, Sam Pilgrim heads over to Venice Beach as well as checking out some of the local trails on offer in the greater LA area
“My final day in California was a banger, even thought the thought of leaving this amazing place loomed over our heads it still didn’t stop the fun and we ended up riding a lot of sick spots starting with a mini urban freeride mission around Venice beach and checking out the craziness of this unique place. After the cruise at the beach we headed for the hills and found a sick trail using the trailforks app. The trail seemed like it was more suited to MTB enduro bikes but of course me and Lukas Knopf only had our dirt jump bikes so we made do with what we had. The trail ended up having some fun dirt jumps that were a bit worse for wear but we still managed to get some flips thrown down after rock paper scissors. From there we headed further north into the rich estates of calabasas to find the biggest stair set of doom I could find online in Los Angeles. This ended up being pretty scary as one break and a hardtail ends up being pretty hard to ride when going down a mountain of stairs! To fully finish the video i throw in some fun surf clips from the famous huntington beach pier, dreams!”
