Who remembers this infamous trail from that incredible video segment in ‘Seasons’ with Steve Smith and Sam Hill? Nate Hills heads out to go ride that track, nearly 10 years on to see if it still lives up to it’s reputation:
Dead Dog is one of the steepest sections of trail anywhere. Perhaps we should have waited for dryer conditions. This is the old Mount 7 Psychosis DH track, last raced in 2008. Sam Hill holds the record at just under 13 minutes. Stevie, Tyler and Sam are absolute legends. I couldn’t fathom racing this on a DH bike, top to bottom. Full respect.
