O’Neal have just announced a new full face helmet made in conjunction with the G.O.A.T. himself, Greg Minnaar. Read on for more info about the new Blade helmet…
With Greg Minnaar set to compete in our helmets in his 2019 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup campaign, we wanted to create a fresh-looking modern helmet with a ton of ventilation and maximum safety in a lightweight package, suitable for both DH and Enduro. The Blade helmet is the helmet of choice for 3 Time World DH Champion Greg Minnaar. Advanced Racing Technology for DH and Enduro. Available in carbon (399,99 €) and fiberglass (199,99 €). Great looking, innovative and lightweight at an affordable price.
GREAT FIT
- Using 2 outer shells and EPS liner sizes, we were able to achieve a more snug and tailored fit for every rider vs many helmets out there.
VENTILATION
- Using over-sized vents the Blade delivers maximum airflow making it perfect for longer trails, including Enduro stages, as well as DH.
FIDLOCK®
- Super easy to open and close the buckle with one hand, even with gloves on and it is of course tested to the same international standards as the traditional double-D closure system.
IPX® ACELLS TECHNOLOGY
- The Blade is the first helmet to incorporate O’Neal IPX® ACells technology – the only system on the market with a full 360° rotational and axial movement ability as well as damping properties making it outperform most other technologies out there.
The range includes Greg’s top-end signature carbon race version, plus fiberglass options in several colours and graphics and 2 versions (the carbon signature and 1 of the fiberglass versions) with our new IPX® ACells technology. The Blade exceeds EN1078 safety standard for bicycle helmets and fulfills ASTM standard.
