The French Alps might get all the love when it comes to awesome places to ride but the Pyrenees mountain range certainly has something very special to offer. Bike Park Les Angles has just announced plans to expand their network of trails with a series of new ‘Canadian inspired’ lines.
In order to continue to develop the MTB activity in the village of Les Angles, the management of the resort and the bike patrol team have invented a development plan for three new trails. The plan proposes a mix of 5-10% for beginners, 40-50% for intermediates and 30-40% for confirmed ones.
Only the Sauron trail currently exists on the above plan. The access to this Flow zone will be done by our two most used tracks: Gandalf and Frodo.
What kind of trails will we create
The objective of the station in the realization of this zone is to differentiate itself from the French market, which is why we have set ourselves the goal of creating trails following the Canadian model. Our three trails will require jump skills starting with a very easy blue trails, up to the double black Black Swan more engaging.
- A blue trail very easy initiation to jumps
- An easy red aerial trail
- Black Swan: A very aerial double black
Our bike patrol team takes care about the detail in designing a trail. The stakes are many: to propose modules in which the rider feels safe, avoid braking, drain water, etc.
We are looking forward to seeing the project come to an end, we will give you an appointment in 2018 for the opening of the zone.
