2017 Mavic Trans-Provence
Sat 10th Jun, 2017 @ 12:30 pm
Come June 16th, riders from almost 20 nations will head to Embrun, (Hautes-Alpes, France) for Day 0 of the 2017 Mavic Trans-Provence. The 2017 route once again ups the ante in terms of descending with an average of three vertical kilometres a day on offer as riders partake in some blind, timed trail exploration.
While there will be winners and losers throughout the week, there is far more to the Trans-Provence than beating the clock, something that hasn’t changed in the previous eight outings into the remotest valleys of the Maritime Alps.
The draw for the fast boys and girls is still strong, and you can expect some tight racing at the sharp end as ever, but with the usual battles, adventures and fear-in-the-eyes moments for everyone regardless of where they sit in the pack.
We’ll be bringing you a daily content package of the finest stills and video from the most revered in the business as well as offering a live race feed throughout.
