Leatt takes it a step further and launches its first half-shell helmet, not intended for gravity riders like their helmet offerings before, but for trail and all- mountain pilots.
The new DBX 3.0 AM helmet incorporates the same unique 360° Turbine Technology their DH full- face helmet is known for.
“3.0 AM helmet with 360° Turbine Technology to help reduce the risk of rotational forces & concussion”
Overall ten turbines are placed inside the helmet between the EPS and the rider’s head. Made of 3D molded Armourgel®, they stiffen upon impact to provide protection. They do this by absorbing both low speed and rotational impact forces during a fall. 3.0 AM helmet with 360° Turbine Technology to help reduce the risk of rotational forces & concussion.
This technology reduces up to 30% of head impact at concussion level, and up to 40% of rotational acceleration to the head and brain, according to tests run by biomedical engineers in Leatt’s lab.
Each helmet is equipped with 18 vents, a magnetic Fidlock® buckle offering precise custom fitting with the turn of a dial, and an adjustable breakaway visor.
Five different colorways will be available in May for recommended reseller prices of €189,99 & £139
