Rae and Mckay continue their travels for the EWS, finishing up from Derby, Tasmania, here’s their round up.
“If we get a dry race, we get a dry race. If we get a wet race we get a wet race. Like I said, we’re going to be racing bikes… So, its gonna be pretty good.” Mckay is super positive, and his building levels of stoke going into the season are infectious.
Rain, mud, crashes, comebacks. Practicing lines, dialing in gear, and taking some moments to appreciate the beauty in faraway places like Tasmania. This is the life of a pro enduro racer, and it sums up the past weekend for Giant Factory Off-Road Team riders Mckay Vezina and Rae Morrison. Mckay started off strong with a top-5 pro men’s finish in Stage 1, and finished the weekend 21st overall on his Reign Advanced team bike. Rae, representing Liv in the elite women’s category on her Hail Advanced team bike, battled back from a few crashes to finish 8th for the weekend.
