Dakine’s new SS17 Bike Apparel collection is about to hit stores all over Europe. Applying Dakine’s know-how in the development of high performing apparel for action sports, this collection offers a range of jerseys, shorts and gloves that will suit different kinds of riders. Enduro, Downhill or Freeride, there is a Dakine match for everyone.

Preceded by the reputation of Dakine’s Winter Sports gloves – ranking amongst the best valued in the world – Dakine’s Bike Glove offering features nine styles for men and five for women, from lighter and more vented styles to sturdier pieces with protection, all of them touchscreen compatible.

The Dakine Cross X Glove (RRP £ 30,00 / € 38,00) leads the downhill charge with a bomber construction. It features 3mm of foam padding on the palm plus sonic welded deflectors on the knuckles. The moisture wicking 4-way stretch polyester with air mesh keeps your hands dry and cool, while the synthetic suede palm and silicone gripped fingertips offer a great bar grip. The Aura Glove for women (RRP £ 25,00 / € 35,00) is designed to keep you out on your bike longer thanks to the vibration dampening effect of the 3mm gel padding, contributing to less arm fatigue. A very lightweight glove that also features highly breathable, vented mesh palm material impregnated with silicone for enhanced grip.

The Men’s Apparel line offers an assortment of jerseys and shorts with two different fits: tailored and relaxed.

The Men’s Thrillium Jersey (RRP £ 35,00 / € 50,00) is constructed of lightweight, quick drying polyester with ranglan sleeves, delivering the full range of motion and not-too-baggy / not-too-snug fit. The fully sublimated graphics will make it stand out in those all day downhills, park laps and drinks afterwards (bonus points for not stinking up the place thank to Polygiene® Odour Control Technology). The Derail Short (RRP £ 50,00 / € 70,00) offers everything you need for shuttling, downhill and park riding. They combine 4-way stretch in a heavy knit nylon with a relaxed fit. The longer 15” inseam pairs seamlessly with knee pads. It has a low profile zippered side pocket for keys and beer/snack money and belt loops and dual side pockets that give it a street style sensibility.

The Women’s Apparel is fully designed with a woman’s fit, making sure performance goes hand in hand with style.

The Faye Jersey (RRP £ 25,00 / € 40,00) is an elevated version of an everyday biking jersey. Ranglan sleeves and a performance scoop neck reference casual stylish street wear. As for technology, the pinhole mesh fabric offers a natural cooling effect and the built-in 4-way stretch panels enhance ventilation and movement, making it equally adept at ascending and descending the trails. The Cadence Short (RRP £ 45,00 / € 60,00) draws inspiration from casual board shorts to create a lightweight pedally style. This 13” inseam, 4-way stretch style with DWR coating keeps you on the trail regardless of conditions. Interior waist adjustment and belt loops ensure a solid all day fit.

Dakine has also added a new style to the socks range. The Step Up Sock (RRP £ 12,00 / € 15,00) is a crew height ribbed trail sock made with Coolmax for best moisture wicking. It is lightly cushioned and features strategic mesh ventilation plus arch compression to eliminate bunching.

The full Spring / Summer 2017 collection of Bike Jerseys, Shorts, Gloves and Socks will be available in Mid March 2017 at specialty retail stores and online at eu.dakine.com.
