Look What WTB Did To Honour A Departed Friend – A Great Dedication!

What a great example of the mountain biking community coming together to support one another! WTB have done a wonderful thing by releasing a saddle design done by one of their late friends and donating the proceeds to a local mountain biking team.
A few months ago, we introduced the Limited Edition Galaxy saddle and paired it with our commitment to use proceeds from each sale to support high school mountain biking in memory of a beloved member of our family and team lost far too soon. Buddy Newman is dearly missed by all. With the sales of the saddle design he created, WTB is sending the entire Nevada City Miners mountain bike team to a skills camp that’ll allow them to hone their skills for the upcoming season and promote a successful future for the sport we all love so much. NICA has been incredibly successful at getting more youth on bikes, and we’re stoked to support the movement.
The Galaxy saddles are nearly sold out and we won’t be making more. If folks want one, they join us in celebrating Buddy’s memory by enjoying some of the unique beauty he brought into this world, while also supporting high school mountain bike racing in the process.
The WTB Galaxy saddle is a Team-level Volt saddle, features titanium rails and DNA Padding, and is available in a limited quantity of 135mm width. Now available for purchase through WTB’s online store for a retail price of $129.95, the Galaxy saddle mirrors the MSRP of a non-custom WTB Volt Team saddle.
