It’s all over bar the cheering, well if we’re honest a fair bit of that has probably gone on too, whilst the World’s Greatest Stage Race has come to a conclusion and the winners are drinking the champagne we still get to enjoy the highlight clips from the comfort of our own living rooms. Here is the penultimate stage in all it’s glory!
Stage 6 was the “reward day”, full of manicured and purpose-built single track. It was perfect for the cross-country specialists like Schurter and Buys. The weather played along nicely and riders still in the race definitely earned the rewards of Stage 6. Although there were 1 800m of total climbing, riders mostly remembered the amazing single track descents dotted along the route.
