Is it a bird, is it a plane, is it a CX bike? Well, no; it’s Kinesis UK’s new all-terrain play thing and, well, having a bike that will take you anywhere can only be a good thing, can’t it?

“Extend your adventure beyond the gravel path whilst remaining fast and light on the roads too”
Tripster AT (All Terrain) is the new adventure bike from Kinesis UK. It builds on years of experience and feedback gained from the Tripster ATR titanium model and shares the same DNA and evolved geometry as the ATR.v2 but at a significantly more accessible price point. Designed with even more tyre clearance, the Tripster AT will take 700 x 45c or 650b x 52c tyres comfortably. With more exciting tyre choices now on the market, this truly opens up the possibilities to extend your adventure beyond the gravel path whilst remaining fast and light on the roads too.
Detailed by Mike Hall
During the Tripster AT’s development, Kinesis UK stated working with the late Mike Hall and this frame was the starting point for what was to become a more involved relationship working on his own bike design ideas. Mike brought some of his bike packing knowledge to the Tripster AT and most noticeably he designed all the graphical details in close consultation with Kinesis UK’s in-house designer Matt Gray. The frameset is offered in two new colours: ARRAN BLUE, inspired by the bluey-grey light of wide open spaces found in the Highlands of Scotland, in-particular the Island of Arran; SEEON YELLOW, an unashamed ‘shouty’ frame of neon yellow that is will get you seen in any light and certainly on the road road.
Engineered to be versatile
The Tripster AT is engineered from Kinesis’ own lightweight hydroformed “Kinesium” alloy tubing and CEN tested to pass the tough mountain bike frame standard. It boasts new frame profiles designed for better fitting of bike packing bags and withstanding the rigors of heavy off-road abuse when the frame is loaded for travel. It is a truly versatile frameset that is as at home on the commute as it is UK bridleways or the biggest of rough-road adventures. It’s a bike to inspire the fast-growing desire for bike packing and offers true versatility for self-build projects, upholding the Kinesis UK moto “Dream-Build-Ride”.
Frame features
Multi-port cable routing to take both mechanical or Di2; Triple bottle cage mounts with dual position down tube mounting for reach and frame-bag versatility; 27.2 seat post diameter to improve rider comfort; rack and mudguard mounts; “real world” threaded BSA bottom bracket shell.
Geometry
“Ain’t broke, don’t fix it”….copied over from the evolved titanium Tripster ATR.v2 model.
