There is a new kid on the block in terms of bike products, ION have been making gentle waves through the market this year and impressing those who have been fortunate enough to get their hands on the new gear.
ION have been involved in the watersports market for some time now and their knowledge of technical fabrics and attention to detail shines through in their range of bike products.
The Electra bike tees are from the women’s Luzid Series, which is aimed at the rider who prefers a more casual fit. Made from a soft and stretchy dri-release material they actually feel and look like cotton, but with many more benefits. Dri-release is a patented performance sports material that appears to be just like cotton but dries 4 times faster, wicks moisture away from the skin, stays virtually odour free and doesn’t have a static cling so is ideal for layering.
The washing label also lists ‘viscose with bamboo’ indicating that ION are going for more Eco-friendly products that can live up to the task required and are doing their research to produce quality clothing.
There’s soft micro-fibre chamois glasses wipe sewn internally into the hem of the tees, and the long sleeve models have a zip ticket pocket on the arm also. Little details that show these items have been created with bikers in mind.
The tees were super comfortable to wear, and the use of technical fabric really made a difference compared to a regular t-shirt in terms of moisture wicking and overall riding comfort. They look good too, so you’ll still be feeling comfortable when you’re in the pub for post-ride thirst quenching!
