Teaming with downhill athlete Bas van Steenbergen, we wanted to create a visual representation of the fluidity of a trail without it being lost to a series of cuts. Using a motorized, remote “Dactylcam” cable system in combination with traditional filmmaking techniques, we set out for the week to capture uninterrupted, full-speed segments of the famously flat out Mt. Prevost on Vancouver Island, undeterred by the thick trees and predictably unpredictable weather conditions.
