Shot at Maydena Bike Park, this project blends COMMENCAL rider, trail builder, and all-round boss, Darcy Coutts, with some wildly lit nighttime berm action.
Teaming up with BikeBot, we aimed to capture Darcy’s raw energy, combining cinematic lighting with his signature style and a dash of lifestyle flair to create a unique and dynamic vibe.
Darcy was keen to blow up some berms, so he jumped in the digger, built a loose one, and went to town. With only enough lighting to keep the berm lit, Darcy dropped in from way up the hill, aiming straight into the pool of light and smoke. His watch torch even came in handy to light the way up.
The first day of shooting was a total write-off due to rain, so we blacked out the entire living room of our accommodation to do some lifestyle shots, pumped smoke, and got creative with lighting. All in all, this clip was mostly shot in one insane day and night. It was all possible thanks to Darcy taking a couple of days off from building the Hardline course to make this happen. The man doesn’t stop!
