fizik Introduces the stormproof, adventure-ready Ergolace GTX
Nature can be unpredictable, but there’s a big difference between exploring the unknown and exploring unprepared. Designed to help riders be ready for whatever conditions they might encounter, rain or shine, fizik’s new Ergolace GTX is a rugged, versatile, weatherproof trail shoe powered by GORE-TEX performance.
Much like a do-it-all-mountain bike, the Ergolace GTX provides pure versatility in both function and form. Whether it’s venturing out on an alpine tour, sessioning trails, or simply escaping for an after-work ride, these shoes beg for adventure.
WET WEATHER GORE-TEX PROTECTION
With the Ergolace GTX’s GORE-TEX configuration, riders can extend their thirst of adventure thanks to the shoe’s triple-layered, waterproof and breathable membrane: adding protection from the elements whilst keeping feet dry.
The hard-wearing ripstop woven fabric uppers resist abrasion and tearing while a PU-laminated toecap and side reinforcements add further protection and durability. For increased comfort, the Ergolace GTX pattern cradles the foot, securing the fit with an ergonomic lace-up closure.
SLIM FIT, CONFIDENT FEEL
fizik designed the Ergolace GTX specifically to reduce bulk and avoid the puffy look of other mountain biking shoes, meaning they’re ready to blend back into society when the backcountry missions are over.
TRAIL-READY VERSATILITY
Available in clip-in and flat-pedal versions, both feature an X2 outsole which enhances the versatility of this all-mountain shoe. Engineered to deliver an optimal balance between efficient pedaling performance and comfort off the bike, the X2 outsole has riders covered for all those hike-a-bike moments.
The compressed EVA midsole provides stability and cushioning while the Vibram rubber tread ensures grip and traction, whatever the conditions.
The directional lug pattern is designed for confident footing; with the right spacing and depth to bite into softer soil, it’s made from a unique compound that’s ideal for gripping slick rocks while hiking.
The flat-pedal version features a low-profile, tapered tread pattern on the midsole that allows for an immediate, optimal connection with the pedal pins.
The clip-in version meanwhile, features an extended cleat track which provides more setback and greater flexibility of cleat placement.
